Solutions
The Problem
We need to define the problem clearly in order to provide the right solution. The most important problem of present election system in our country is:
Corrupt politicians are getting elected with high margin of votes no matter which party they belong to. How is it possible and why is it happening?
The Reason
There are two primary reasons for this situation.
A. Wrongly Voting
B. Not Voting at all.
Additional Reasons for the above two issues.
A. Wrongly Voting – The 7 Wonders Indian Politics ! ! !
- The Voting Population is mainly poor, ignorant, and live in rural areas. They are easily attracted by freebies.
- People are not educated enough to assess the candidate and vote, but they look only for party banner.
- Poverty. Poor people are bought for cash. Vote for Cash is the most disgusting and destructive factor for failure of Democracy.
- Groupism. Cast/Religion/Region/Sangam etc. Still caste base politics plays a role in politics as well as other factors like region, association etc.
- Identity and Glamour. Film personality’s identity advantage and glamour has its own weightage in the vote bank.
- Strong Party Hierarchy - Party Members’ votes and Fake Votes. Most of the party cadres are working for opportunity and position within the party and not for national interest.
- Seat Allocation Base Alliance and Blame Game of Opponent Party
Note: The total votes mustered by all of the parties, for all the above points is only 47% of the population. Click Here for voting percentage analysis. Wrongly voting for the above reasons is only the visible part of the problem. Like the Tip of the Ice Berg. And the Winner of the Bigger Problem is ……
B. Not Voting At All
- Majority of the population especially educated people hate politics and politicians and they never vote for anyone.
- There are many reasons and/or excuses for why people hate politicians and staying away from the entire political system. Click here for the Top 10 Reasons for not voting.
- This is 53% of the population of eligible voters who are 18 years or elder.
- If this 53% of the population voting for the right candidate, not even one single corrupt candidate can win, no matter which party they belong to.
- As a basic comparison of 47% Vs. 53%, the not voting problem (53%) is a bigger and hidden problem than the smaller and visible problem of wrongly voting (47%).
- This is the best example of tip of the ice berg concept. Click here for the voting percentage distribution against population and click here for the graphical representation of the Ice Berg concept.
The Solution
A candidate can only contest, and he/she cannot win on their own. Only we have the power to make them win or lose. Not voting is not a solution.
Vote against corrupted is the only solution. Let’s all Vote against Corrupt and defeat the corrupt.
Amid the differences and difficulties, if we can achieve 100% voting, we can easily defeat the corrupt candidates no matter how strong the party they belong to. If 100% voting is practically not possible a 90 to 95 percent of votes will be enough to achieve the goal.
Let us …
Vote and encourage everyone to vote to ensure full participation of large volume of the citizens.
Fight for a clean electoral system from ECI to ensure facility for anyone to vote from anywhere. (Electronic Voting or any best system)
Force Traditional Political Parties to field good qualified social minded candidates as true people representatives
Otherwise encourage and support new generation politics and youngsters to become people representatives.
